Them Days Vol. 12 No. 2 – 1986

Christmas in Labrador is probably drab affair by the sophisticated children of more favoured lands. In November Nita McGrath and her husband left St. John’s for Alexis Bay, Labrador on the train and the boat finishing the journey. In the early Eskimo had the drum for music. During school they used slates instead of pencils. Margaret Davis was born in Cartwright, her parents are Thomas and Emmeline (Blake) (Martin) McDonald. Boyd Chubbs writes a poem called And When We Have Turned. Leo O’Brien in the winter he went inland to go to hunt caribou with three other men. Harry Martin writes a poem called Forever Memories.  A letter to Ms. Saunders Called The Family of John Williams.
