Lockwood school gets it’s name from Mrs. C. S. Lockwood of Concord, Mass., U. S. A. List of Who’s Who at Lockwood. Betty (Llyod) Chatham first glimpse in Cartwright at a little Harbour. Nellie ( Blake) Flowers worked for Dr. Forsyth. The missions boat came in fall and unload for school supplies. Robert H. Davis’  mom and father asked if he wanted go tot school when it opened up. Miss Stewart took care of Lewis Brown, it was her job. John Webber had lots of eggs. Robert H. Davis’ responsibility was the hens. Avis (Lethbridge) Kremer attended Lockwood school. Robert H. Davis had English, American and Newfoundland teachers. One night it was dark says Victor Mesher. Chesley Lethbridge’s favourite memories was Christmas and Easter time. Handling 50 kids you had to be strict says Chesley Lethbridge. The game we played before bed was, someone ‘d say: ‘Let’s Go all Around The world’. Robert H. Davis used to play at the Assembly Hall. John Webber says there wasn’t a year he had the first prize playing sports. Robert H. Davis went to school in St. Anthony and met a girl name Elizabeth Learning. John Webber says the girls used to be at Near Lockwood.
