Aimee Chaulk is a Labradorian with roots all over the Big Land–North Coast, Sandwich Bay, and Lake Melville.  Having moved around a lot in her youth, she returned to her hometown of Happy Valley-Goose Bay after studying English and Mediaeval Studies at the University of Toronto and Magazine Publishing at Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University). Before working at Them Days, she worked for Frontier College on fly-in reserves in Northern Ontario, various departments of the federal government, and The Labradorian newspaper. Aimee enjoys travelling (within Labrador and beyond) and listening to elders’ stories from every corner of Labrador. She also serves as the President of the Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Archives. Aimee’s writing has appeared in Labrador Life, Inside Labrador, the Inuit Art Quarterly, and SakKijâjuk: Art and Craft from Nunatsiavut, and she has worked in several different freelance roles with the National Film Board.

Aimee cares deeply about the environment, community building, and volunteerism. She can often be found taking photos, riding her bike, or supporting breastfeeding families.
