Vol. 49.3 – Stitches We Share

In November, Them Days hosted the Stitches We Share exhibition, originally curated for the Bonavista Biennale. Heather Igloliorte tagged Ella Jacque, Vanessa Flowers, and Jessica Winters to curate an exhibition based on their grandmothers’ work. We are so proud to have hosted the work of Sarah Baikie, Andrea Flowers, and Nellie Winters. It was a simply stunning collection of grasswork, coats, boots, and more.

The exhibit was set up like it was a grandmotherly living room, which invited visitors to come in and sit awhile (eat a candy out of Andrea’s candy dish, even!), tuned into the Labrador music playing on the stereo, enveloped in the scent of naturally dried sealskin and grasswork.
